Judo

What is judo?

Judo is an Olympic sport and martial art that originated in Japan over 100 years ago. Today judo is the most widely practiced martial art worldwide. The word judo itself means, “the gentle way.” It is a grappling martial art that does NOT involve kicks and punches, but rather incorporates throws, pins, and submission holds. Not only is judo one of the best forms of exercise available, it is also a very practical form of self-defense.

Among confidence, self-esteem, and the ability to focus, regular judo practice also develops a high degree of body awareness and coordination that makes healthier, happier people.
